Back Home Again, after a great weekend in Leicester. Very pleased with the way our show went.

Enjoyed meeting up with friends old and new, that’s what Denver day is all about !!

 

Off to Leicester for Denver Day and our Evening Concert at Blaby Social Centre tomorrow.

 

We are already enjoying our new surroundings. Rehearsals have begun for our next concert which is

The Evening Concert at Friends Of John Denver’s Spring Denver Day, in Leicester. A makeshift music room has been set up in what will eventually be the dining room.

 

Sad day, would have been Jean’s birthday today.

 

After a quiet Christmas in the Sharman household, a hectic January came to a close with the big

house move. It took us two years to sell our house, but finally on January 29th we say goodbye to our home in Outwood, Wakefield. A journey of about 30 minutes South and East brings us to our new home in the village of South Hiendley, near Barnsley, South Yorkshire.

The new house doesn’t need too much doing to it for us to settle in. The major project will be building the new music studio, which will require a garage conversion, and may take some time to complete.

 

 

Our 2009 Christmas show was cancelled after Jean Sharman’s sudden death last week. We are all still in a state of shock, but beginning to try to come to terms with it all. Sincere apologies for the

Show being cancelled at such short notice. As far as we know, everyone who had bought tickets in advance was informed before the day about the cancellation. Full refunds are being sent to everyone, we thank you for your patience, and for the many messages that we have received.

 

WE WILL BOUNCE BACK FROM THIS LATEST BLOW !!! Our show at Denver Day on April 10th

definitely goes ahead. We also plan to arrange a special memorial concert for Jean, hopefully in

Chapeltown and in 2010, with proceeds going to Macmillan Nurses, who were so good to Jean and

her family in her final hours.

 

THANKS ONCE AGAIN TO ALL OUR FRIENDS FOR THEIR SUPPORT AT THIS SAD TIME.
