Our Timberwolf Recording Studio has so far had three homes, and
will shortly be being relocated for a fourth and final time, as we
are currently in the process of moving house.
From it’s humble beginnings, which date back to Neil’s school days,
when he got his first basic tape recorder, the fascination began
with trying to record songs, and to make them sound better, both
recorded and in a live performance.
Even to this day, we are our own worst critics. We listen to recordings of ourselves regularly and pick out the faults and try
to improve things. Even in the early days as Neil was still learning to play basic chords on the guitar, playing them back showed
what was wrong with it. Neil’s parents must have had a lot to
put up with !
Over the years new pieces of equipment were sought after, and
acquired, and even to this day, newer better equipment is being
added to both the studio and live stage gear on a regular basis.
The recording studio has grown from a £10 tape deck with
built in microphone, to a full 32 track digital hard disk recorder,
with over £25,000 worth of studio and stage gear now in use.
