A beautiful sunny spring day lead to a memorable Denver Day event, at Blaby Social Centre in Leicester,
followed by our Evening concert for all our friends at Friends Of John Denver. It was our first show
of 2010, and it was good to be back on stage singing again !! The Evening concert raised £227 for a
Charity which was nominated on the day, by all the Friends Of John Denver members who attended the
Events. The charity chosen by the majority was The Alzheimer’s Society. A very worthy cause, and one which is close to our hearts having lost Gill’s mum through Alzheimer’s in 2009. We are sure that there
were TWO extra members of the audience there to see the show !! Well done to F.O.J.D. too who raised
another £340 for the charity at the daytime event.

Photo’s taken for us by Graham Shelton ~ Thanks Graham, Great Job !!
Special thanks to Christine Moon for organising this event for us, and for Denver Day, and for all the hard work that goes into the day to day running
Of Friends Of John Denver. Thanks to Clive Moon too for all that he does !!
Thanks to Seamus Vickers for helping out with the seating arrangements, and for conducting the raffle, and all the other little things he does !
Thanks to all those who helped at Denver Day, and behind the scene’s at the Evening concert.
Special thanks to our team of volunteer ‘Roadies’ who helped us strip the stage and load the van after the event. It is always a difficult job, made easier
by the many hands of our many special friends, Thank You.
Thanks to John Sharman for sound and lighting. Thanks Dad !!
Most of all, Thanks to a wonderful audience for making it a special event. Without you, we wouldn’t have a show !
Hope to see you all again soon, sometime, somewhere.
Peace, Love & Best Wishes,
Neil & Gill xx.
